Biomass Generation

Our five biomass power stations are located at Thetford, Ely, Glanford, Eye and Westfield and generate electricity from the combustion of poultry litter, straw, meat & bone meal, horse bedding and forestry woodchips.  Since the commissioning of our first biomass station in Eye, Suffolk in 1992, we have built strong relationships with fuel suppliers and have developed significant experience in the procurement and logistics associated with our primary input fuels.
